The Imperial Valley Enterprise Zone is a specific geographic area targeted for economic revitalization in which for-profit entities, such as corporations, S-corps, partnerships and LLC’s, get California state tax credits. Businesses are eligible if they are in the zone or move their operations within its boundaries.

Benefits of locating in the zone include:

  • A state tax credit of up to $35,000 even with just one employee, and help claiming tax credits. Available tax credits include:

  2. Sales or use tax credit
  3. Net operating loss carryover
