Get Involved
There are many ways to get involved with the Brawley Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber board has developed the following committees in order to help shape the future of the Chamber, plan and develop Chamber programs, and market and promote the Chamber and its members. CATTLE CALL COMMITTEE - Works on organizing all Chamber related Cattle Call Events including: Sponsorships, Publicity, Chili Cook-Off, Dia de la Fiesta, Mariachi Night, Music Festival, Cattle Call Parade & Post Parade Party.
EDUCATION COMMITTEE - Works to improve communication between the business and education communities. Develops and facilitates the exchange of ideas for specific educational needs of employers. Works on annual scholarship program and Teacher of the Year awards.
MAIN STREET PROGRAM - This association works to enhance the economic climate downtown, by eliminating blighted areas and creating small business and employment opportunities. Goals include: Beautification of the downtown area and creating an atmosphere conducive to family recreation, entertainment and shopping opportunities.
BRAWLEY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION (BEDC) - The purpose of the BEDC is to create and retain employment opportunities by crafting economic development plans, facilitating communications and providing marketing materials and programs aimed at stimulating economic activity in the Brawley area.
AMBASSADORS COMMITTEE - Generates goodwill among present and potential members and the community. This group participates in most Chamber events and activities.
LEGISLATIVE ADVOCACY COMMITTEE - Monitors governmental affairs, legislative activities and educates the public on issues affecting the business climate of the community.
